B.I.R.D St. is an acronym for Building.Individuals.Reconstructing Dorchester. This is a project about building community relationships and creating change by getting to

know one another.

You Gotta Go There to Know There.

I grew up on Bird Street in Uphams Corner, attending the Bird Street Community Center as a youth. While being curious about my neighborhood. I admired Eugene Richards; A photographer who grew up in dorchester for is approach and connection with the subject. His work made me want to go out and talk to people. I am honored and ready to share images that promote the beauty of neighborhood and the advocacy to invest in the people to create, nature and preserve our legacy. Let's walk in our neighborhoods and appreciate the unique people, places, and business owners that exits and make the community whole.
